Media Students Visit Radio Nepal

Media students of Kathmandu University batch 07’ & 08’ visited Radio Nepal at Singhadurbar on May 20th 2009.The main objective of the visit was to make students familiar with the professional work space of the Radio Nepal. Students got to learn different phases before the program finally gets broadcasted. Shekhar K.C, the second year student said, “The visit was very fruitful and the knowledge I gained in this visit would help me in my career development”.
Nirmala Mani Adhikary, the Course Supervisor of Media Studies in Kathmandu University, facilitated the students during their two hour long visit. The students while on their tour got to see the various well equipped recording studios along with the music library. The library had the collection of the songs since the inception of the Nepali music industry. The students also had a chance to meet the pioneer of Nepali music industry, Meera Rana. She shared her experience with the students about the decade long journey in Radio Nepal.
